The Luna Lite Wheelchairs benefit from a lightweight aluminium frame that is also extremely durable. Both chairs weigh just over 11kg, which makes them both easy to use and easy to transport.

Folding widthways when not in use, the addition of a folding backrest and detachable foot rests means that either chair will fit much more easily in the boot of a car (or other vehicle) for transportation. Additionally, the quick release rear wheels on both chairs further reduce the footprint and make them even easier to handle.

A relatively unique selling point of these chairs is the armrests. On both sides, with a flick of a tab, the front of the armrest unlocks and it then pivots backwards out of the way; making transferring into and out of the chair much easier and more comfortable.

The breathable nylon padding for the backrest and seat encourages airflow and adds a layer of comfort making these wheelchairs ideal for regular – even daily –  use and the firmly cushioned armrests further add to the user’s comfort.

The shaped, textured push handles are set at a fixed height to a suitable height for most attendants, and the locking brakes on both handlebars are responsive and easy to engage. The self-propel model also includes user hand brakes which engage individually on the rear wheels.

As an extra security measure, both come with anti-tippers than can be installed prior to use. These adjustable wheels add an extra layer of safety; ensuring the wheelchair cannot tip over backwards if it becomes unbalanced.

Both wheelchairs are supplied with a black frame: the Self Propel is matte black, whilst the Transit has a glossy finish.
