Product Description

The Oxford Calibre Hoist is an ergonomically designed bariatric hoist that is of an exceptionally strong and robust construction giving it an incredible maximum user weight of 385 kgs (60 st) allowing it to deal with practically any lifting requirement in today's modern healthcare environment. A number of key design considerations have been applied in the building of this hoist to make transfers as easy and as safe as possible for both the user and carer alike. The powered adjustable legs of the Oxford Calibre Hoist provide a wide, stable base and are easily adjusted using the simple hand control eliminating the need for manually opening and closing the legs. Furthermore, the hoist is mounted on twin pivoted castors at the front that aid with manoeuvrability, particularly over uneven floor surfaces and room thresholds, and rear castors that are braked for stability and security during the lift. Manoeuvrability and control is key with such a large hoist and the Oxford Calibre is surprisingly nimble thanks to the combination of the well positioned castors and the over sized push handle that makes moving the hoist into position a lot easier. The convenient hand control has a handy clip for storing away when not being used, and operates the slow and gentle lifting action for maximum levels of comfort for the user and minimum levels of fuss for the carer. An integrated digital weigh scale comes as standard and is the ideal tool for monitoring the user's weight without the need for additional equipment and unnecessary transfers. The Oxford Calibre Hoist is designed for durability and longevity and is supplied with a five year manufacturer warranty for complete reassurance and peace of mind.
